Okay, as someone who really likes Legacy of Goku 2 and Buu’s Fury, this actually feels fantastic for a prototype. The game feel is really solid. I think the speed/enemy hitstun is pretty fast in comparison but it works fairly well since the movement feels faster too.
I’d honestly be interested to see if you could add more to this gameplay style, but as it is, it’s pretty good.
Hi thank you so much for your comment!
The main goal of this prototype was to see if people who are fans of Legacy of Goku 2 and Buus Fury could feel something close to the original games
So far, the feedback has been really encouraging, and I’m glad the game feel is working for you.
The goal now is to build more around this gameplay style and slowly try to create a real story/adventure.
I already posted a small update on YouTube after this prototype, and more should be coming soon.
Thanks again for the support!
I look forward to seeing more! I also particularly hope gamepad support is added soon.
Yes, gamepad support is definitely possible!
Some parts of the input system already support controller buttons, but I still need to properly test and improve it.
I can’t promise it will be perfect right away, but I definitely want to add proper gamepad support
